Madeleine Bohn (she/her) is an actor, writer, director, and filmmaker based in New York City, Chicago, and Michigan.
After graduating the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) with an Associates of Occupational Studies in Acting, Madeleine went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Television and Film Production from St. John’s University.
Acting
Madeleine is an award-winning actor and has acted in several theatre productions, both educational and professional, specializing in classical works (Shakespeare, Molière, Wilde, etc.) She also has training in Acting for the Camera and has acted in various short films and web series. Madeleine was last seen in the short film The Consumer, written and directed by Daniel Merino Villavicencio, premiering at the Long Island Independent Film Expo.
Writing
Madeleine is an award-winning writer, having trained in both Narrative Theatre adaptation and screenwriting. She has adapted/directed Narrative Theatre pieces as well as written several screenplays, many of which went into production.
Directing
Madeleine has directed two short plays in New York City, Floor Time by Emily Fischer at the Producer’s Club and #KachadoreanKrew by Rosie Coursey at the Hudson Guild Theater as part of the New York Theater Festival Summer Fest. She got her start in directing at film school where she directed many short films and continues to direct for the screen post graduation.
Filmmaking
Madeleine is well versed in filmmaking, having studied the medium and from working on film sets. She has written and directed four of her own works.
